The Knotty Ones
Based between New York and Lithuania, The Knotty Ones was founded by three best friends who set out to create the perfect knit while giving back to less privileged women in their community.
They employ female artisans and female-founded factories in rural Lithuania, giving them a living wage, financial independence and a voice in their communities.
They also take sustainability pretty seriously. The Knotty Ones only uses natural and 100% biodegradable yarns, which are not only great for your wardrobe, but also for the planet.
With its boxy unisex feel, Sutemos is our modern take on traditional Baltic crochet pieces. We've created a textile that's transparent enough for summer's hot days, yet covers enough skin to avoid feeling too exposed. "Sutemos" means "after dark" in Lithuanian, and she's ready to keep you cozy long after sunset.
