The Knotty Ones
Based between New York and Lithuania, The Knotty Ones was founded by three best friends who set out to create the perfect knit while giving back to less privileged women in their community.
They employ female artisans and female-founded factories in rural Lithuania, giving them a living wage, financial independence and a voice in their communities.
They also take sustainability pretty seriously. The Knotty Ones only uses natural and 100% biodegradable yarns, which are not only great for your wardrobe, but also for the planet.
"Delčia" means "half-moon" in Lithuanian and her half-and-half stitching was inspired by our Baltic pagan roots and the changing cycles of the moon. In pagan culture, people are big believers in the moon's energy and staying in touch with it. Delčia finds that perfect balance between the two extremes of the young moon and the full moon. Great for running across empty beaches or through pine forests, she’s 100% cotton, Oeko-tex certified and promises to keep you cozy-girl cool.
