TBCo. is a Scottish lifestyle brand whose small team is dedicated to designing a range of wool blankets and scarves that merges Scottish tradition and contemporary living, with a strong focus on aesthetic and the planet. Their ethos, colsie, comes from the old Scots word for “cosy” and embodies the act of slow living and making time for the people and things that soothe the soul. Driven by finding a way to gift this concept, TBCo. offers a varied range of consciously designed wool textiles woven from sustainably sourced Recycled Wool, Lambswool, and Cashmere. TBCo. was established in 2015 by creative husband and wife duo, Emma and Fergus Macdonald, and is based in the art-hub of Leith, Edinburgh.
Lambswool is the highest quality sheep’s wool. It’s gathered from a lamb’s first shearing, meaning the fibres are smoother, stronger and hold more elasticity than any other wool. The unique crimps in the individual strands generate air pockets that retain heat while repelling moisture, keeping you warm when you’re cool and cool when you’re warm. Along with being a naturally insulating, breathable and hypoallergenic textile, it’s beautifully soft. Doesn’t get much better than that.
